Evacuation of Poles from the Middle East. "They went at their own risk"

- For many weeks we have been asking not to travel to these areas and if someone goes there, it is at their own risk - said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski on Polsat News, speaking about the evacuation of Poles from the Middle East. The deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that the ministry had long warned against traveling to these parts of the world.

We expected problems in the Middle East and we said "do not go to the areas of these countries" - he added. He pointed out that the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had warnings against traveling to Israel and Iran even before the conflict began.
"No plane will land there"Grzegorz Kępa asked his guest about the plans to evacuate Poles from Israel. He mentioned that only the honorary consul of the Republic of Poland in Israel offered a bus to Jordan at the expense of those interested.
- I do not have such detailed data. I talked about this with the deputy prime minister and head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. He is ready to prepare military and civilian flights, but at the moment it is not really possible to fly there - said the PSL politician.
- We looked at the situation. We counted how many people are temporarily in Israel. There are 219 of them - said the deputy minister of foreign affairs. He added that many people in Israel have Polish-Israeli citizenship.

- The army and the government are ready to evacuate, but we need to know how and from where (...) no plane will land there - said Bartoszewski.
- You cannot prepare an evacuation action before the need to evacuate occurs (...) tourists do not have to go to areas that are at risk - he concluded.
